I also read thicker RADs make more of a difference than moving from 240mm to 280mm length?

Q) Does 0.4mm vs 0.5mm waterway make any noticeable difference?Ī single 240mm RAD is probably the preference since I have 120mm fans already. Q) How much tubing would i need? Is 2m enough for my immediate needs, and future need of adding in the GPU cooling? Alternative is to buy direct from ($36 delivery charge to Aus - but if i buy some other stuff from them then this makes more sense.) Problem is I can only find one supplier in Aus that has it in stock in my reqd size, but after P&P the cost blows out. I really like the look of this and prefer it to clear tubing. HOWEVER, I am open to the idea of a single straight piece around the RAD and RES - see inspirational photo above!) Looking for some suggestions on components, brands/products to use, brands/products to avoid, and general advice in relation to items I am trying to decide between. I have been reading as much as possible the last few days ( many thanks to this forum's regular contributors - you know who you are!).

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super OC 3X (probably upgrade this to something like a 2080 Super or an AMD RX 5700XT in the future)

I think I am going to spend a lot of time on the Bykski Mod and Bykski Official Store on AliExpressĬASE: NZXT H510 Black with Red accent panel

No issues with ordering from abroad to get a better deal, even if it means waiting 3/4 weeks (perhaps 'months' in the current climate.). Also, I am a turtle, slow and stead and happy to wait and accumulate items over a period. Happy to spend a bit more on a pump for example if it means its not the limiting factor come 'upgrade' time. Point is, I need to make sure I have headroom in my setup so I am not just building for this "low/medium" spec. Also, I'm going to initially go for a low/medium spec CPU and will likely upgrade that once the new AMD CPU line up is released (either buying one of those, or a better 'current' gen CPU as prices drop). My aim is to build a CLC initially focused just on CPU cooling, but extendable so I can add GPU cooling in the future (I wont be doing RAM). At first I even thought it was some hard/rigid tubing. The tubing from the RAD to the bottom inlet on the RES looks great - definitely want to try and replicate that if possible.

Love the matte black EKWB tubing (more than likely what ill be using). I thought about an AIO option, but frankly I think a CLC is going to be more fun and rewarding (someone please convince me otherwise, for the sake of my wallet! lol)įirstly, just a few ideas/inspirations of the kind of look I 'dream' of. I will do a bit of light overclocking, but I am looking for low noise/sound over OC'ing benchmark points. Looking to get into water cooling/CLC as it sounds interesting and whilst I am not a massive RGB fan, my personal opinion is that some subtle lighting with the look of a CLC is quite nice. I'll be working off an AMD x570 AM4 platform.

Just recently got back into PCs/gaming and have decided to build a new rig (I've done plenty of PC builds, just not in the last few years, and certainly not gaming focused). Hi (and sorry for the insanely LONG post!)
